Prince Leopold attends Eiseheim's magic show and volunteers Sophie. Josef helps Sophie on stage and Eisenheim asks Sophie if they have met before but she says no. Two stage assistants bring out a large mirror and puts a cloak on Sophie. Eisenheim performs an illusion that looks like the volunteer's reflection is being executed and it amazes the audience.
