Elsie and Charles begin the scene with a romantic encounter. Elsie tries to clean the stuff off her hands after their romantic encounter with no success. Charles gets a phone call from Elsie's ex-roommate, Sharon, who  wants Elsie's portion of the phone bill. Charles wants Elsie to get ready for the 8 pm dinner reservations just as the door bell rings.
