After Elsie and Charles enter his apartment the two have multiple arguments ranging from what to do, where to eat,  why the apartment is filthy, why Sharon had Charles's phone number, Charles leaves to go purchase some shampoo and movie tickets for Elsie after she asks Charles when her birthday is. While they are arguing Charles tells Elsie about her surprise birthday party.
