Hi Folks

As you probably know, with the US Government shutdown, our colleagues at NIST are not working, the NIST servers are shut down, and I'm not even sure that this email to tv13.list at nist.gov will get through.  We also don't know how long this shutdown will last but as of now, it doesn't look like it will be resolved this week, and when it is resolved it will take our colleagues at NIST some time to get back to normal.

The most immediate deadline fro TRECvis is the speaker proposals, which are due in 2 days from now, Friday 4th October at 12 noon EST.  If you intend to submit a speaker proposal for the TRECVid workshop then please do so by emailing the proposal to myself, Wessel Kraaij and Georges Quenot, all cc on this email. This will allow us to make decisions on speaker selection so when NIST comes back to work, the catchup will be just a bit easier.
