collection.xml - lists for each file in the collection, the file ID,
the TRECVID file name, the source URL, and the use for the file.

...mp7.tar.gz:

  mp7 - contains one mp7.xml for each video file in the collection. Each
  such file defines the temporal extent of each shot within the file as
  well as the shot IDs, which are numbered starting with "1". The shot
  ID is composed of the file ID followed by an underscore followed by
  the shot ID. 

There are three raw segmentation files for each video

sb.tgz:

   sb/TRECVIDFILENAME.sb - Contains the same information as msb - 
   provided for compatibility with older software since until TV2009 
   there was a difference between msb and sb.

msb.tgz

   msb/TRECVIDFILENAME.msb - Begin and end frame numbers of master
   video shots 

ssb.tgz
 
   ssb/TRECVIDFILENAME.ssb - Begin and end frame numbers of video 
   shots with gaps
