Hi All,

  TRECVID 2019 is now complete. THANKS for all who contributed ideas and resources, joined, submitted runs and attended the workshop last week.

P l a n n i n g   d i s c u s s i o n   i t e m s  i n c l u d e s :

• Continuing AVS and INS tasks with same setup (main and progress subtasks) and with the addition of an optional explainability input by runs.
• Continuing VTT task using a new data source (possible use of V3C2 subset of the V3C video collection)
• Continuing ActEv task using VIRAT dataset with 28 or more activities
• Proposed two *New* tasks:
• Video Summarization (Summarizing major life events of a chosen character in the BBC Eastenders during 8-10 weeks of episodes)
• Two proposed subtasks : with or without the named major life event
• Video classification of natural disaster video footage collected by search and rescue emergency operations
• About 30 features (classes). More details about real world test video dataset collection and training data will be available later.

These team papers are considered draft versions till 1. March 2020. Before 1. March 2020, the sooner the better, please email (or let me know if your draft is the final)
the final version of your notebook paper to George.Awad at nist.gov. This version will be posted to the public TRECVID publications page and stay there. We will post them as they arrive. The final version must
contain the appropriate citations - to the 2019 TRECVID Overview paper and for various resources used, such as data, annotations, etc. See here for info on citations:

In general, these citations should appear in any talk, paper, book,etc., that uses TRECVID resources. Such references are one means for TRECVID sponsors 
and other interested parties to assess scholarly impact.
